Levels of Temple membership

We have four basic levels of Temple membership:

Basic/Outer Court members are members who only join us for social events and rituals. As Basic member you can at any time request to enrol in our clergy training program. Basic members are automatically registered as Outer Court members of the Correllian Tradition after six months of active membership.

Members who are accepted into the temple are considered on probation for 3 to 6 months after such time he or she will either be accepted as a full member or his or her membership status will be cancelled.  No fees are refunded.  During the probation period we monitor ritual attendance and the dynamic between new and full members.

Basic members must attend three out of five rituals per quarter to remain active.

All Basic members must enrol for the Correllian Living the Wiccan Life Course as a course of study through our Temple.

Dedicants are students who have dedicated a year and a day of study in order to apply for First degree Priest/ess status. If after this period, a dedicant does not qualify to apply for Clergy or the Clergy application is declined, the student can continue on to study the next degree but will revert back to Basic member status within the Temple and Outer Court member status within the Tradition.

Members who join the temple with the intention of enrolling for clergy training must first wait until their probation period is over and they are accepted as full members before they will be allowed to enroll for the First Degree course.  During the probation period, all members (who wish to enroll for clergy) must submit an essay in no less than 1000 words as prescribed by the temple head.

A new First Degree course commences every 6 - 12 months as determined by the Temple head. If a student enrols after date of commencement he or she will have to wait for the next class to begin.  Dedicants are required to attend four out of five rituals per quarter to remain active.

Clergy members are Temple members who hold First, Second or Third degree Priest/ess status within the Temple and Correllian Nativist Tradition.

High Priesthood are Temple members who hold Third Degree Priest/ess status within the Temple and Correllian Nativist Tradition.

Types of Training available through the Temple

We offer both correspondence and real-time training.  There are a number of requirements and all courses include several assignments and hands on training/practicals which need to be submitted and completed before one will be considered for initiation/elevation. Real-time training is available for all clergy courses.

Real-time training
We host real-time study groups twice a month for each degree. The duration of each lesson is usually 3 to 4 hours and consists of a discussion of the months lesson, visualization exercises, assignments, group practical's and a monthly exam. One lesson is covered per month and all students are required to take the final exam upon completion of the final lesson as well as to complete all required homework and assignments before initiation/elevation will be considered. Everyone brings a plate of snacks to share.

Correspondence training
We welcome anyone wishing to enroll in courses via correspondence (post, email, fax) and you do not have to be a temple member but temple membership is encouraged.  We have Distant Membership for this cause.  The correspondence syllabus differs slightly for correspondence members to ensure that our high standard of clergy is maintained at all times.

Correspondence members must:

Have an online presence on the temple forum and mailing lists
Keep regular contact with their mentor
Submit work every 4 - 12 weeks to remain active

To enrol in one of our courses, request membership here.
